About

This is the energy section of lumoCal, a small set of calculators built by one person. It publishes US residential electricity prices and bills drawn from the Energy Information Administration, a bill calculator, and an explainer on energy assistance.

Why it exists

Most electricity price pages are a utility's marketing or a listicle with no source. The EIA publishes the real numbers every month; almost nobody puts them in a form a household can use.

Corrections

Errors get fixed and the fix is visible. If a figure disagrees with EIA, EIA wins.
